A sizzling afternoon of fun and fundraising at Oasis Pool Bar
Despite the scorching temperatures, nearly 100 wonderful supporters turned out on Sunday for an unforgettable afternoon of music, laughter, and community spirit — all in aid of the dogs and cats at PAWS-PATAS.
The event, hosted at the welcoming Oasis Pool Bar, was a lively success from start to finish. Guests enjoyed live performances from the talented DnA, Encanto en Canto, and 2 Acoustic — all of whom generously gave their time for free. We are so grateful to these amazing musicians, not only for their fantastic sets but for their kindness and support. If you haven’t had the pleasure of seeing them perform locally, keep an eye out — they’re as lovely as they are talented!
There were cold drinks to cool down, a shimmering pool to dive into, and plenty of smiles all around. The raffle was a crowd-pleaser, and the “Name the Teddy” competition caused a buzz — especially when the winner decided to donate the giant teddy back to us! The tombola table stayed busy too, and we’re thrilled to share that we raised an incredible 592€ through entries, games, merchandise sales, and more. On top of that, we received 120€ from new PAWS-SOME Club memberships and 56.50€ from our donation box at Jimmi’s Bar.
As the event wound down, we were handed two large bottles full of copper coins by the generous Oasis team — a surprise donation we’ve yet to count, but we’re confident the total fundraising for the day will hit 1,000€ or more.
