DO NOT SEPARATE KITTENS FROM THEIR MOTHER
Every spring it happens again… someone finds kittens and, with the best intentions, decides to “rescue” them.
But what seems like help… often puts their lives at risk.
Newborn kittens cannot survive without their mother.
They don’t just need milk:
They need constant warmth
They need stimulation to go to the toilet
They need round-the-clock care
Without her, survival is very difficult, even with human care.
If you find a litter:
Do not pick them up
Observe from a distance
The mother is almost always nearby
Only intervene if there is real danger (injured, immediate risk, dead mother)
Respecting the mother means protecting the kittens.
The best chance of survival is with their mother.
